Continuous strip view, measuring 5.5-inches tall (image size just over 5-inches) by approximately 804" long, folding into 56 panels. Captioned at the foot with list of names, regiments, etc. in the procession. One panel folds upwards to depict the funeral car. Hand-colored aquatint. In original oblong red cloth folder, 5.5-inches by 14.5-inches, gilt-lettered. Publisher's advertisement affixed to rear inside cover. First Edition.
Wonderfully detailed and hand-colored panorama, over 65 feet in length. Captioned at the foot with list of names, regiments, etc. in the procession. This is the longest continuous strip view listed by Abbey, out-distancing the one produced for Queen Victoria's coronation by about seven feet. The original price was 2 pounds, 2 shillings. Abbey 597. Overall extremely good, in reparable original folder and the contents near fine. Exceptional and Rare as found.
