This example, silver on brass mounted...with pillow pommel having doorknob capstan rivet is hilted with a vertical ribbed ivory grip, guard with disk finials; a five ball counterguard, silvered ferrule and heavy chain guard. The blued blade with gold decoration exhibits various patriotic and military motifs including eagle with ribbon, which reads "E Pluribus Unum".
