British Prototype
Breech-Loading Percussion Fowler
Brown Damascus Twist Pattern

A breech loading percussion fowler, proofed under the barrel and with serial number 19. The 16 Gauge, smooth bore, 25.5-inch round-to-octagon barrel has a brown Damascus twist pattern. The fowler measures 44-inches in overall length. The front sight post is missing and is noted for accuracy. The rear barrel sight with a folding ladder still remains. A lever under the frame releases the barrel to tip up and backward. The percussion chamber lifts between the barrel and frame, and hinges down and forward into the breech as the action is closed. The extremely long iron tang butt plate and trigger guard are all engraved. The trigger guard is blued, the tang is very long and is case colored, and the butt plate is blued with 2 pheasants engraved at the heel. The side hammer and back action lock are both case colored. The stock is excellent walnut and has a checkered wrist. The fowler remains in excellent, never fired condition.
