*Charles Daly Drilling Shotgun/Rifle


This *CHARLES DALY DRILLING having serial number 44220 was made in Prussia, by *Sauer and is 10 by 12-gauge with .38-caliber rifle. Standard drilling with 30-inch barrels, tapered matted rib; front sight with single folding rear sight. The tang sight has a wind and elevation adjustment as well. The bottom flat of the barrel marked "Prussia" along with other marks and maker's crowns; water table on the receiver marked with matching numbers and crowns. The side locks are lightly engraved with Charles Daly markings at the rear; bright steel furnishings are engraved. The barrels have double lump with cross bolt and the receiver has side cocking lever and a hidden folding sight in the top tang. Nicely figured and finely checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock with checkered splinter forearm. The checkered horn butt-plate is worn smooth with most all diamonds evident. The smoky brown barrels retain most all Damascus; receiver and lock plates are faded to gray colors, stronger in sheltered areas. The wood is very nice and retains most of its original finish. Bores are bright and shiny. In generally fine condition; mechanically tight. Measures 45.75-inches overall.
