Unsigned American Percussion Kentucky Pistol
Probably Southern

While the pistol is unsigned, the lock is marked "Warranted", and is a conversion from flintlock to percussion. The rifled barrel is drilled off center is about .54 to .58 caliber. All furniture is iron except for the small pointed escutcheon for the lock screw. The pistol has a full stock with a flat butt. A point of interest is that the snail is very unusual, being shaped almost like a vertical fluted drum. The pistol no longer has its ramrod; two iron pipes remain. The gun shows lots of wear and some rust pitting in spots, including lockplate, hammer and barrel. The pistol measures almost 14-inches in overall length, while the octagonal barrel measures 8.875-inches in length.
