Large Bore Kentucky Rifle
Barrel flat signed...Boyer
Lockplate signed...J&W Aston
Pennsylvania
Mid-19th Century - SOLD

A maple with some striping full stock with raised and incised cheek piece retains original red stain and has great color and patina. The octagonal to round barrel with integral tang has faded to brown and is 37.75-inches long; overall length: 54.25-inches. Brass buttplate, trigger guard, pipes; front sight and nose cap...nice old color. The stock and all else fine; mechanically fine with only the usual as expected little dings and such. A very nice hanger.
