American Short Saber

Reflecting the need to produce weapons quickly and on a limited budget this blacksmith made 39.5-inch short saber with a 29.5-inch clipped point blade offers only the slotted knuckle bow and crudely checkered bone handle as artistic flourishes. The blade and iron “D” guard show pitting and some light rust as is to be expected.
