This original flint .72-caliber fowler is 73.5-inches in length with a 58-inch barrel and lockplate marked –London-Warranted.-
Octagonal to round barrel; two screws securing the lock; lightly engraved brass butt-plate, brass furniture; brass trigger guard with shell forend and long tang also engraved...iron rammer appears to be original. Stock has very good color and great old patina. The rear site was moved forward during its period of use compensating for owner’s eyesight. Mechanically fine; splice approximately 3-inches aft of the brass forend…minor dings otherwise all else fine and original.
