Smith & Wesson Model 1, 2nd Issue Revolver


Smith & Wesson Model 1, 2nd issue, .22 cal., serial number 62522. The gun is standard configuration with blued barrel and cylinder and silvered frame. The gun retains 99% original silver, 70% original blue on the barrel and 25% original blue on the cylinder. The gun comes with a finely made pigskin holster, which is lined and border stitched. The holster has a Masonic emblem on the flap. The gun comes with a letter from the owner's family dated March 14, 1958 addressed to Mr. Herbert Uphoff of Milwaukee (who currently resides in Arizona). The letter describes the gun by serial number and the original owner. Another document indicated that the original owner was a conductor on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad.
