Varnished, two fingers on base, one on lid, copper tacks
Circa 1850 to 1900



The box with fingers facing right has a pine top and bottom, and maple sides; fine condition. (Height: 1.5 inches; width: 4.75 inches; depth: 3 inches)

The largest and smallest of the stack of boxes having left facing fingers with the three middle boxes having fingers facing right. (Imperfections.)
From smallest to largest, the boxes measure:
2 by 6.5 by 4.5-inches
2.75 by 8 by 5.5-inches
3.5 by 9 by 6.5-inches
4 by 10.25 by 7.25-inches
4.25 by 11.5 by 8.5-inches

Four-Drawer Utility
In Shaker Style



Two over two configuration in red stain; dovetailed and nailed drawer construction. Shows some in-use moisture compromise to the surface upper left top and one drawer, although overall construction is tight. Owner or maker stamp on back of one drawer "Fred. G?????".
